How the Birthday Countdown Works

The calculator takes today's date and compares it with your birthday's month and day. If your birthday has not yet occurred this calendar year, it counts down to this year's date. If it has already passed, it counts to next year's birthday instead.

The result shows days, broken down into weeks, remaining days, hours, and minutes — giving you a complete picture of how close (or far!) your special day really is.

Leap year birthdays (February 29): If you were born on February 29, the calculator counts to February 29 in the next leap year. Leap years occur every four years (e.g., 2024, 2028, 2032).
